the 5th Annual Greater Maitland 5K The 5th annual Greater Maitland 5k Run and Walk, is designed to be an uplifting community event by giving to 2 local charities in the Maitland community. The Run/Walk benefits New Hope for Kids and Shepherd’s Hope. We have established this event to contribute to the community and simultaneously raise awareness of people and families in need during the times of tragedy and grief.

5K - 1 Mile Youth Challenge - Free Kids Run
Over 500+ family members, individuals, seasoned runners and walkers will join together with their spectators on a beautiful sunny day and make a difference by attending this run / walk! We have designed this special event for people of all ages to gather as one to run and walk together for all the metro area to see! Pre-event activities will be staged at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, with the start line on Sandspur Road and the finish line on the property of Orangewood. It is important to note that this event is the official property of Orangewood and is separately administered. The monies contributed from net proceeds of the event are presented directly to New Hope for Kids and Shepherd’s Hope. Sponsors are encouraged to supplement their sponsorship contribution with media and advertising campaigns to further promote the event. Come join the community and help build a foundation for giving to those in times of need. Proceeds from the race will go to New Hope for Kids and Shepherds Hope. Awards The top three male and female finishers will win awards. There are also awards for the top three male and female finishers in six different age groups. Packet Pick Up Pick up race number, tech shirt and information at Fleet Feet Sports (397 E Altamonte Dr #1470, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, tel 407-772-2233) starting Thursday, October 1from 10:00AM - 7:00PM through Friday October 2 from 10:00AM- 5:00PM. Packets will also be available on race day at Orangewood Presbyterian Church. Tech Shirts First 200 registered receive a Brooks Unisex Tech Shirt. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed if you register on race day. Additional Information Start: Race start time is 7:30 am at the back entrance to Orangewood on Sandspur Rd. The course: winds through the neighborhoods of Lk Sybelia for a grand finish at the grounds of the Maitland Community Preschool.
